Family

i love family gatherings...esp. christmas and new year ones

The chit-chatter of catching up on each others' lives, the screams of little cousins running all over the house, the smell of delicious food rising into your nostrils, and because it's christmas, the beautifully wrapped presents sitted below the christmas tree...
It's certainly a wonderful sight.

I anticipate every gathering almost everytime.
But this year's Christmas gathering was one that was rather special to me. I had someone with me to share with me the wonderful feast not only for the eyes but for the tummy as well...yum yum.

We had games for the children, dances by the children for the adults, as well as food ( which by the way, consisted of chilli crab, KongBaBao, pumpkin soup, BBQed prawns and chicken and much much more!)

Family is something that I hold close to my heart. They are the ones that see you through and know you well. Your bad habits can't be hidden from them. Like how some people though adults would still bite their nails, suck their thumbs to sleep or even watch cartoon network...
Your family would know...

Perhaps one little lesson to learn from here is never to step on their toes?

Christmas

Christmas In Heaven
I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below with tiny lights like heaven's stars reflecting on the snow. The sight is so spectacular please wipe away that tear for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear but the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here. I have no words to tell you of the joy their voices bring for it is beyond description to hear the angels sing. I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. I can't tell you of the splendor or the peace here in this place Can you just imagine Christmas with our Savior face to face? I'll ask him to lift your spirit as I tell you of your love so then pray for one another as you lift your eyes above. Please let your hearts be joyful and let your spirit sing for I am spending Christmas in heaven and I'm walking with the King.

What lies beyond

There's always a time when....
we seem to bypass all the things around us never have time to stop and think.
we are seemingly doing so well we forget who gives.
we seem to forget and think that money is able to get us anything. Even to the extend to being able to buy us happiness...
we also seem to have periods in life where we think we are living by our own rules.

I realised that occasionally, after such periods, I feel drained no matter how long that period of elation lasts.

Sometimes
even though we need someone to bring our heads back from the clouds, we need someone to bring us back up there again 'cos we know we can't live without being up there.
we need stops in life to keep us going on, we still need a little spark after that to ignite our engines again.
we realise that we have God-given person just beside us that has always been there all along, we really need someone to open our eyes to know if we are really cared for or have we been booted aside and left in this world all alone.
you know you always have the Someone that always looks over your shoulder before you cross the road and reminds you to listen to your conscience and help out that helpless old lady crossing the road...
It's more than just being safe and taken care of like a possessed little bird with broken-wings, it's the feeling of a eagle with wings spread free heading towards the sunset knowing what lies beyond.
there is just that veil over our eyes that warps our world and we try to make sense of it all. It's always better not to think too much...
It's better to just know if we have a someone.

For what it is...

I feel so blessed... SO BLESSED the past few days.
I celebrated my birhtday with MJ, with Dorcas, with Sarah, Jinny and Siew Yen and tomorrow with Verna, Violet and a few other peeps.

So far... I can genuinely say that I've received the best presents anyone could have. The things I have received are not of anything tangible. They are of those that comes from the heart.
Every single one of my friends who celebrated with me showed me how much love a friend can give and get.
These are the times I feel I have much to learn as a friend. As cheesy and cliche as all these sound, all I've said are true.

From MingJie 3 surprises that came from the heart with so so so much effort. None of which were bought.

From Dorcas, knowing my brand conscious weaknesses, endowed me with an expensive gift.

From Jinny, Sarah and Siew Yen - It wasn't the 2 gifts that touched me but the effort they put in to make the day such a fun and great one. Though I was embarrassed, I felt I haven't had so much fun in a long time.

For these people, I really Thank the Lord for it is only is His power I am able to receive and take part in such blessings. I know that friends are special gems and sometimes we, at least for me, tend to take them for granted. Even in such blissful times, I feel that I have learnt and seen certain aspects of relationships God wanted me to see. There is definitely the need to be more aware of the things around me to remember how

progressing...

Woke up this morning without a goal in mind.
Though I have a list of things to do,
I just feel like a potato couch.
Perhaps this I what I call restlessness.

Finished my exams not long ago,
I squint at the clock before dawning on my specs,
For the fear of being late.
Being late for what?!
Perhaps withdrawal symptoms is what I'm experiencing.

However, when I turn in my heels and look back,
Perhaps this is a much needed rest.

A semester of work to do had seemed like just yesterday.
A time to rest, a time to heal,
Perhaps this is what I really should do...

"Bullocks to you" catching up,
"To the thrash bags" you old pile of checklists,
Just wait and see,
I'm going to start to have some sinless fun.

To the Father in Heaven that I love so much,
I'm here to receive your word,
with obedience and humility.
So VCF Anntic, Here I come!
There is no Perhaps about that

Ok...Im going off for Anntic camp from tomorrow till the 10th.
Details coming soon!

Paradox : Busy chilling

So busy enjoying myself the last three days. Straight after I ended my exams, I got down to some serious chilling.

Tuesday
Went out with Sarah, Jinny and Siew Yen for a classic Pizza Hut Lunch straight after the last paper. We sat there for 3 hours just chatting away. As usual, Jinny had her share of stories. I'm still traumatised about her horrific details about some stuff she said...
*sits in a daze obviously trumatized*
After the satisfying lunch, we went GV Plaza and watched 'Just like Heaven'. I felt that though the show was sweet, it was very cliche for most parts. But Jin! haiz...GO read her blog. Hahaha...

Learnt a decent game of pool skills from MJ in Tampines after that. It was quite fun la. But don't want to admit to him. :P

Wednesday
This day was my Physical workout day lor!
Went to school in the late morning for lunch and started working on my hostel room a.s.a.p.
You see, I had to move out of my hostel room due to some vacation stay stuff going on during the hols. Anyway, I'm moving to another room next semester 'cos my roomie is moving out. Sad..I loved how my room was orientated to the road. There was more privacy lo...

Jogged with MJ in Pasir Ris Park for a stunning 3.2KM after that. 3.2KM non-stop leh. 3.2KM non-stop leh!!
It's been a year since I ran already so even though 3.2KM doesn't seem like a feat, to us, it was a feat for me! Think the last time running was training for Hockey or something. It was definitely the company lo... as Sarah and Mj always say. Thanks MJ!

Thursday

Went to the Science Centre with Sarah today to visit 'THE ART OF STAR WAS" exhibition. I am recommonding anyone who is reading this entry to go visit it! It was so so so so FUN! There are three places I will highlight about the place.
First was the FOYERING. The FOYERING ROOM where videos are played back and sounds are recorded to fit the scenes. Sarah and I fooled around with it and laughed till our stomach was aching (at least for mine).
The next was the Star was GYM ROOM. There were many interactive games in there. There was this game where the Brain activity was measured by a band around the head and some electron and neuron movements. And from these two elements, our brain waves could move the ball on the table without any direct contact with it. I round the first round and after a tough battle of the brainwaves, Sarah won the second round! haha...Apparently, from this game I learnt that Sarah don't think much! haha...Jz joking la. To know what I really mean just talk to me. I'll tell you. Hahaha..

Went with Sarah to Tecman to buy some materials and I got a book called Iron man for my Mum's Birthday. Sarah's recommendation. It's about this Paster who was this gang head in the past. A living testimony. Anyone interested contact me yah? Be glad to lend it to you with my MUM's permission...

Met MJ in town for shopping then a movie after that. He was late because he was up to some Mysterious business. But had so much fun with him. He was like Sarah..so accomodating to my slow walking pace due to muscle ache with compliments to the 3.2KM jog the day before.
Watched 'Chicken Little'. It was hilarious! We were laughing so estatically. Esp. me i think.

The chilling so far was all with no regrets. I enjoyed every minute of it.
SHIOK!

mid-exam activities

I have absolutely no idea why i decided to revive this blog in the midst of exams. Perhaps I just trying to protest against all the bitter jittery.

Got photos from Sarah on the ones we took on her birthday along with the museum trip. VEry Nice...Especially the photo of her and her Sheep. HAhaha~

Anyway, 2 papers down and 2 to go. Sorry, it's difficult taking my mind of eventhis exam stuff though I'm staging the protest.

check-exam-list
  • Building Materials
  • Ideas and Approaches to Architecture
  • History and Theory of Architecture
  • South-East Asia: Changing Region

I feel ready because I've studied. But yet I don't! aargh...

I hardly had enough time for today's paper. Other than that, I thought it was alright. The paper the day before was horrible. I don't know if it was mental block or what. My brain just had to die on me of all times.

Yay! meeting MJ for supper tonight. Hope he doesn't fall asleep after his badmintom game!

What happened?

Having STM these few weeks. I'm in a state of confusion almost all the time. What's wrong with me?!

19/7
On Jinny's early birthday celebration, it was so fun. Jinny. Sarah, Siew Yen and I lunched at the Sizzlers and sang k-box after that. It was real funny when we had to rush to the MRT to catch the 'last' train. But we were really happy that she was so delighted by our presents( I hope it's not self-denial) and we all stayed over at my house. Chatted all the way to 5.30a.m. in the morning. Religion, boys and life were our topics for the night. Mainly girl talk if you wanna ask me.
MAdness...

20/7
Slept like a pig the whole day. Actually, on the contrary. I just said that cos that what people would normally do I think. I did housework and made a skirt! I just got into the mood Then I slept after that. So weird right?

21/7
Drove my mum and neighbour to the florist to get ready for the following day's SHSS founders' day. Got lost on the way.

22/7
Help mum at SHSS founders' day while she stayed at home because she was on MC. Met Mingjie there. He was helping out as the parade commander. Felt really redundant after awhile when i couldn't do much anymore. Saw my Band juniors and felt a little sense of pride in me even though presently I totally had no connection to them what-so-ever. Hence, I left and went to Orchard to meet Dorcas for dinner.

23/7
Had a badminton game with Sarah, Jin and Siew yen. Lunched at food court in Toa Payoh. The Ramen was so spicy but "shiok"!

25/7
Got up really early and met Sarah and her friend, Michelle for their matriculation. Waited for her for almost 3 hours. While she was at it, spent about an hour cleaning my hostel room and arguing with the committee there. Just some unhappiness brought forward from the situation of the hostel conditions and what have you I guess.
Went for the Medical Checkup with Sarah and it took forever!
Finished everything at 5.30p.m. Was supposedly going to be fetched by my sister at that time...but she came at 7.30p.m. instead. Complicated case...

Busy week? To me, it was...my body just ached at the start of everyday.
But oddly..I just wanted to turn to Him more. It pushed me to rely on him and ask Him for strength. I got it at the start of each day through prayer. I really have no idea how I was going to survive up to now just relying on my own strength. Just call it Amazing Grace.

IDAKI camp 2005

That's it. I'm a burnt chicken. Don't ask me why chicken...it just sounds better than burnt pig or what have you. It just associates better since we always seem to think about Kentucky fried chicken..
OK...I'm mad.

Anyway, yeah..the camp.
As I was saying, i'm so tan I really look like another race now. First day ay camp was kind of boring. It was better at night when we did and trust walk combined with fright night. It was not bad lah...Especially the make-up. I did manage to recognize one or two of my AOGLs and OGLs. hah....

The following few days was quite fun. We had station games at West Coast Park on the 2nd day and then beach games and Amazing race in Sentosa on the 3rd day. WE were initially leading for the first few days up to the beach games. However, we started to backslide for the Amazing race part. We came in LAST. Sad...But true. But we really had fun!It sort of bonded us more. Especially where the part where darkness started to set in and we were almost lost trying to find the way back.
Well, we got the prize for the most 'garang' group. Don't really know what that is really...I asked and got 'fierce' as the answer. I'll just take it as that.

Here is a picture of my group taken by my AOGL. Hopefully I can dig out more from the rest.

Varsity Christian Camp

When I just returned home from this camp. I felt as if I didn't really gain much from it. It was only after talking to Dorcas about it I realised I actually learnt so much. It was only at that moment that I realised the meaning of being hungry for God's word. The feeling where you think it's never enough to know more.
The whole experience speaking to Dorcas not only reflected what I went through and learnt at the camp, I also gained knowledge know knowing Dorcas at a higher spiritual level and because of that gained a spiritual buddy. It's so amazing what God gives you and sometimes you just don't even realise it.

I've been a super passive Christian occasionally teaching and helping out in Sunday school. Perhaps it's time to do more. But for those of you who knows me, I got this serious problem about committing myself to things. Not that I'm always unfaithful or anything. It's just the inability and lack of confidence in the things I do that prevents me from starting many things and proceeding into things with a tad much caution.

But I'll definitely make it a point to attend the CG (contact groups) in my hall as much as I can.

About the Camp. Well, I can say it was fun in a mild sort of way. I was the only freshie that came in SDE. And for the fun parts, we didn't have very intensive and sweaty games. We did play many lame games that was really funny and it did build pure and totally innocent bonds within the group. I would emphasize innocent is because when I got back home, the subsequent outing with friends brought me to realise that in camps people usually look out for distinctive future partners or hunks. Maybe it never crossed my mind...OOPS. Seriously!!
But all I can say that I was blessed to have such nice people in my group! There was this guy that looked like Jeff Wang who run really really fast and another girl that looked like my cousin, Jac, who was so sweet and sisterly. And then there was Ryan my OGL who was so funny all the time. I also met a Hildan, Mingjie, there. It was such a coincidence.
All of them were so funny and nice.

Really want to point out that I was glad I went with Sarah to the camp. The importance of a friend with you in a camp really helps to relieve lonliess alot especially for the first few days... Was so glad Sarah persuaded me to go to the camp with her. Thanks SARAH!

So I'll sort of dedicate this post to my group members, namely:
1)Ryan (OGL)
2) MeiHua (OGL)
3)Li Jia
4) Eliza
5)Mingjie a.k.a Habakkuk
6)Benjimin
7)HaoWen
8)Danielle
9)Daphne
10)Sharon

Thanks guys (even though I'm q. sure U pple will probably not be reading this) for making this camp such a great one!

Utter Boredom

Went for a wisdom tooth operation n the third and man was it a complicated surgery. Andrew took only 10 minutes for his to be taken out and mine tool a solid 30 mins. What's worse was that amidst the anesthetic, I could feel slight pain while my dentist was at it. While my brother came out of the room with a whole tooth taken out, mine had it's crown separated from it's roots and was taken out in 5 parts! Boy was it bloody.

Well, utter boredom was because of this operation, I missed an outing a Galilee frens with Sarah and Jin, a gathering with old secondary school friends watching movie and eating at Seoul gardens and a supposedly impt camp briefing for IDAKI.
I couldn't believe I gave all these up for a stupid op. That caused me so much pain n consumption of medication in the past 3 freaking days. I couldn't step out of the house lest I was mistaken as a rolly polly.yeah...N did I mention all meal this past three days were porridge, porridge and more porridge?..Talk about variety

Tomorrow, I'll be heading down for a camp called the Varsity Christian Camp. I'm in a group called Elska. According to the leaders who contacted me thru email as well as the phone, it means 'love' in Norwegian. cool...
My face is still swollen, hope it gets better tmr.
I'll definitely still be having porridge in the menu...

IM BACK!

Okay okay...I've been back since the 18th. But it's like I've broken away from typing into blogspot for at least 10 days. I'm just to lazy.

New York was great. We went to New York City, Washington D.C., Canada and down back to Newark. But the last few days staying in the resort was horrid. The lift broke down the day we arrived, and the air-condition busted. It was already spoilt for a few weeks. The resort was supposedly a CROWNED one.

The 2nd day into the vacation, I fell sick. Don't know if it was food poisoning or gastric. I concluded it was the latter since my family didn't experience what I did. I vomited at least ten times even before noon.

Anyway, while we were there, we managed to see the White House, Ground Zero where 9/11 occurred, the Empire State building, Niagara Falls, Capitol building, The Pentagon and...I can't remember the rest. Only managed to squeeze shopping for an hour into the agenda. Pathetic.
My dad was in fits more than half the time we were there because of complex highway routes and all and being lost at least 3 times a day didn't help. We jokingly prompted him to go for an anger management class and well, let's say it just backfired but it proved our point. Hah!

These are some photos. I'll try to put up the rest in Photo Album A.S.A.P!

ON VACATION

Will be in New York from today the 6th to the 18th of June. So won't be entering or updating anything from now till then!

But so many of my friends are like going away today! Like Sarah, Jie Hui, Me...n some others whom I can't remember. Odd..
Blessed 6/6?

I drove!

For the 1st time, I drove on my own to church With a license on Sunday. Not that I ever drove without one. But it's like there were no adults with me. My Dad took the Cefiro while I took the Sunny and I was like a Duckling following my mother or rather, father duck to the destination. Quite cool lah...ahaha...

SY birthday

Celebrated Siew Yen's birthday on Saturday. Was loads of fun! We went to a meal at Sakae, watched Madagascar and then first the first time in a few years, went to an Arcade to play! I never knew an arcade would be so fun playing just one game! And the game was Jin's expertise. But we all laughed and screamed until our face muscles went a little numb..ahaha..

passed!

I passed driving with four demerit points!
The tester was very nice and even told me he liked my dimples.
So funny! yay...Can drive liao!

Humour Digestion

Read through this month's Reader's Digest. Basically it was mainly about humour.
I came across this quote with I found that was very true.

"You can't stay mad at somebody who makes you laugh" Jay Leno

Well, you all probably think that it's like "duh" obviously true. But who would have thought of it of no one voiced it out.
Speaking about humour, I do hope to find a guy who is full of humour. I mean if he was the ugliest guy around, someone who makes you laugh can't be half-bad right? I mean he makes you happy! Isn't happiness one of the few most basic foundations in a relationship?
I'm not trying to say that humour is the only factor I would look for in a guy. More would definitely be an advantage. But however, I want to emphasize that it would be the least I could ask for.

Care to hear a joke( compliments from RD)?
A man brags to a friend about his new hearing aid. " It's the most expensive one I've ever had - it cost me $3500!"
His friend asks, " What kind is it?"
The braggert replied, " Half past four."

Swim

Went for a swim at Dorcas's house today. Was supposedly going with her to Jurong East swimming complex. Unfortunately, and for those who probably know her well enough, it fell through. It's not the first time and it will not be the last. And I'm most definite...

Swimming was quite fruitful for me since I did manage to squeeze out a few laps of excercise after not swimming for ages. I tell you, when i starting swimming, it felt as if my body had literally gone rusty. Or maybe I just felt fat. Bleah...I hate that feeling.

Mark my Friday n Monday

Friday will be my practical driving test. It's finally here!
Wish me all the best!
Will post the results here...

Just to inform you, my friends, that I will not be in Singapore from this coming Monday, 6th June, to the 18th of June. You'll still be able to msg or call me since I'm using GPRS auto-roaming unless I really travel to the suburbs where there are no radio-activity( or something like that).

Bored

Aside from driving lessons...Hardly even 2 days at home after all the going out and I'm bored bored bored!
Someone...Anyone... Entertain me!!!

I'm bored.

BTW

yeah..btw, I forgot to mention that I had already received the offer letter from NUS going into the faculty of arts and social sciences.
Damn...

Will most likely be choosing NTU since it offers direct honors. But one push factor is the Chinese speaking peeps there. For all who know me, you'd most probably guess y. I am someone whose Chinese language gives people the impression that it's really in the dumps. I 've been called all sorts of names like, ' ang mo kia' (foreign kid), ' jia kan tang'(eat potato or western cuisine) n what have you. I can't even remember. But these 2 are the most often man...
But I reckon I'd not have much of a problem with that since I've been hanging out with chinese speaking friends ever since secondary school.

bbQ at colleagues

As the title probably suggest, I went to my colleagues chalet at Costa Sands( East Coast) for a BBQ. Wasn't really fun cos it drizzled and everybody's mood seemed to have went along with the weather too.

Anyways, here are some pictures taken with my colleagues.

Last Day

Today's the last day at my workplace and I received presents from my colleagues just a while ago.

Present 1: A swatch watch ( Pink)
Present 2: A Billabong wallet ( Pink)

Even though I admit that I really like them, Do I look like someone who loves pink so much?!!
Hai yoh... the 3 months I spent here in Infineon, I never wore pink to work! Never!
ahaha...Doesn't matter anyway.

I bought for my colleagues 3 boxes of chocolates from Royce. 2 milk chocolate and 1 mild Champagne flavored. I think since the day Mr David Wong bought S77 those chocs, I have been addicted to it ever since.

Yesterday I ate dinner with Jie Hui and, so she calls herself,CHan Ping Ping( Amelia). It's been such a long time since I went out with them. JH brought the Krispy Kreme for Amelia from Xiang jie from New York. Wow...talking about long distance food delivery. The doughnuts smelt so sweet! ahaha... Amelia din bring her Khui Khui to play with us. Hmm...

It hurts

Have you ever felt the pain caused by a friend so dear?
Don't forget me now.
Made so many new friends,
And met them all over on that side.
I wonder if I'm doing this out of spite.
Created friction just for attention,
Hoping that for a second you'll just turn.
"Probably not", I decide.
I feel jealously,
It's a dangerous thing.
And I can't abide by
The fact that you don't need me anymore.
How can I know that you'll still be there?
When I call out for you and a shadow of you just stares?
So many priorities,
So many things to fill your time.
You just don't really need to care.
If you heard me saying this out loud,
You'd tell me I'm ridiculous,
And that you'll always be there.
But I feel that you're not!
You find the others so much sweeter,
More reassuring than I could ever be.
I don't want to lose you,
And I too don't know what I'd do,
But if you don't need me,
Then I'll pretend I always knew
Hopefully I'll always be just a sweet memory.

I'm going to miss them

Oh man oh man oh man...
I am sure going to miss my colleagues lots. Will be ending work by the 18th of May of prepare for my driving test. This is bcos I booked time slots in the afternoon and on the 19th would be having one. Lessons would be quite frequent after stopping work.

They are even treating me this Friday this Japanese buffet at Suntec as a farewell lunch. We went there before and the food was good. Esp the dessert!! They were the prettiest looking things and you'd only see desserts like this so pretty in cook books. The price was a little steep too for a temp girl like me.

Heard they've been planning some gifts for me on my last day. But have no idea what they are. Hmmm... Well, then I'll wait in suspense then.

The bottom points is still this: I'm going to miss them.

Saturday, May 07, 2005

aargh..

Prior to my previous post.

Emotions: Anger, fustration, insulted and hurt.

Dinner at colleague's

Went over to Dorathea's(my German colleague) house for dinner the day before. She organized this as a farewell as she will be leaving to Germany with her expatriate husband because he's transferred back there to work.

Started off the evening relatively well even though instead of a 5 min walk from Novena MRT, we took 20 min to each there. Ok.. We got lost.
We begin with alcohol beverages. My colleagues were thoughtful and considerate enough to pass me the non-alcoholic beer cos they know I don't drink. Anyway, the drink still sux. So I ended up gulping down coke instead. Dun laugh at me for being such a loser ok?! I just don't drink. So next time just remember to not pass me any alcohol.

Dorathea made some German dishes for us. We had German sausages, boiled and stir-fried, mash potatoes, some really sour veg, salad, bread and pasta. I particularly prefer the pasta, sausages, salad and bread. Ok..Almost everything except the sour veg.

We then continued the evening my playing this game called Taboo. It was quite fun lah. Though if I told you pple it was a word game you'd probably be thinking: CHEY! Thought what. Strip chess?!

HAh....But I left early cos of the restrictions given by my parents. Pop back your eyes and sort out your surprised looks yeah..cos i'll admit it that I'm very much still a mummy's girl. Sad but true.

There is a time for everything

Ecclesiastes 3
There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die,
A time to plant and a time to uproot,
A time to kill and a time to heal,
A time to tear down and a time to build,
A time to weep and a time to laugh,
A time to mourn and a time to dance,
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
A time to embrace and a time to refrain,
A time to search and a time to give up,
A time to keep and a time to throw away,
A time to tear and a time to mend,
A time to be silent and a time to speak,
A time to love and a time to hate,
A time for war and a time for peace.
What does the worker gain from his toil? I have seen the burden God had laid on men. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink and find satisfaction in all his toil – THIS IS THE GIFT OF GOD. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him.
Whatever is has already been,
And what will be has been before;
And God will call the past to account.
And I saw something else under the sun:
In the place of judgment-wickedness was there,
In the place of justice-wickedness was there.
I thought in my heart,
God will bring to judgment both the righteous and the wicked,
For the righteous and the wicked,
For there will be a time and the wicked,
For there will be a time for every activity,
A time for every deed.
I also thought, “As for men, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals. Man’s fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless. All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return. Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and if the spirit of the animal does down into the earth?”
So I saw that there is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work, because that is his lot. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him?

Accepted into NTU

Course? Sociology.
Congrats Miss Toh Yong Ai Adeline you've been accepted in the course... Bleah.
Yay..I'm jumping arnd. With so much joy. ( sense my sarcasm) ?
Oh man... Damn my grades. It's always my pulling factor...Or pushing? Hmm...Kicking away is better. I just hope it's bcos of my grades and not bcos my artistic sense is in such crippled state whereby they don't even want to take a second look at my works.
Perhaps it's not so bad after all?
God has a plan....God has a plan....God has a plan...
Maybe this will knock some faith into me..
God has a plan....God has a plan....

NUS aptitude test

3 pieces of colour paper to convey the meaning of the topic you choose. Mine? Transparency. It was pathetic. If only you people were there to see it.
